Sixteen different mixtures were made, modifying the proportions in mass of hydrated lime/cement and water/cementitious materials. Based on the results of the tests of mechanical properties, the hypothesis that the variations of the compressive strength and of the modulus of elasticity do not present a direct dependence relationship was corroborated. Based on the analysis of the results, a mathematical model was tested for the relationship between compressive strength and the modulus of elasticity, and the volumetric relationship between the mortar components, resulting in a high correlation degree. The use of this proportioning method and of the mathematical model is proposed for the formulation of cement-and-lime mortar in order to meet the design specifications.
