Summary:This article intends to present how the dimensions of urban mobility have been discussed in the context of smart cities in academic articles. For that, an exploratory study of the literature was applied through a bibliometric analysis for the quantitative verification of the data and content for the qualitative evaluation. From a refinement, 377 articles were found between 2012 and 2020. The main results point to an increase in publications on the subject and show that urban mobility portrays a new stage, provided by technological innovations, which is being characterized as intelligent mobility.
