Bringing with them new actions that have altered and deteriorated the essence of its image and landscape, as well as giving way to other urban processes linked to the touristic offer/demand and globalization, neglecting the importance and patrimonial values the site represents for the city and its people. El objetivo de este artículo es presentar los principales cambios en la imagen urbana del centro histórico de la ciudad de Granada, un escenario de relevancia local, que toma interés ya que posee valor patrimonial y natural en el contexto nacional, esto ha llevado a que se realicen planes y proyectos de intervención en las últimas décadas. Trayendo consigo nuevas acciones que han alterado y deteriorado la esencia de su imagen y paisaje, así como, han dado paso a otros procesos urbanos, vinculados a la oferta/demanda turística y la globalización, olvidando la importancia y valores patrimoniales que el sitio simboliza para la ciudad y sus habitantes.
