Zusammenfassung:The Association of Latin American Journals of Architecture (ARLA) was born as a project of collaborative work that would allow cooperation in order to help professionalization and to improve the quality of publications. Up to date two meetings of editors were held to discuss current issues, and to propose, prospectively, what route journals of architecture should follow in this changing world of communication, information, and knowledge. At the second meeting, held in Buenos Aires (Argentina), agreements were reached regarding their functioning, scope, and objectives; similarly, work committees were created in the areas of dissemination, evaluation, open access platform, quality in representation, training, and publication classification. Regional representatives were appointed and the coordinating nucleus was confirmed; finally, Yucatan (Mexico) was proposed as the venue for the next meeting in 2018.
