Up to date two meetings of editors were held to discuss current issues, and to propose, prospectively, what route journals of architecture should follow in this changing world of communication, information, and knowledge. At the second meeting, held in Buenos Aires (Argentina), agreements were reached regarding their functioning, scope, and objectives; similarly, work committees were created in the areas of dissemination, evaluation, open access platform, quality in representation, training, and publication classification. Regional representatives were appointed and the coordinating nucleus was confirmed; finally, Yucatan (Mexico) was proposed as the venue for the next meeting in 2018. La Asociación de Revistas Latinoamericanas de Arquitectura (ARLA) nace como un proyecto de trabajo colaborativo, que permita la cooperación a fin de ayudar a la profesionalización y a mejorar la calidad de las publicaciones. A la fecha se han realizado dos encuentros de editores para debatir los temas coyunturales, y se ha planteado prospectivamente cómo debe ser el camino que deben recorrer las revistas de arquitectura en este mundo cambiante de la comunicación, de la información y el conocimiento. En el segundo encuentro, realizado en Buenos Aires (Argentina), se lograron acuerdos relacionados con el funcionamiento, los alcances y objetivos, y se crearon comisiones de trabajo en los temas de difusión, evaluación, plataforma de acceso abierto, calidad en representación, capacitación y categorización de las publicaciones. Se designaron los representantes regionales y se ratificó el núcleo coordinador, también se planteó la sede del próximo encuentro por realizarse en Yucatán (México), en el 2018.
