Subsequently, we examine mortar and coatings made with the same conglomerations, and their use in external and internal coatings To finish, we revise the degradation that happen in the coatings and the chance to protect them. En este artículo se estudian los aglomerantes históricamente más utilizados, dando particular relevancia al estudio de la cal y el yeso por sus mejores cualidades ambientales en confrontación con el cemento, para lo cual se revisan los impactos ambientales que producen, como son la contaminacion del aire, del agua, del suelo, y por el ruido que originan las fábricas. Igualmente, se analizan los mejores morteros y aplanados elaborados con estos mismos aglomerantes, su utilización en aplanados exteriores e interiores, además de las formas de degradación que se producen en ellos y las posibilidades de su protección.
