This text was built more as a step inside a process begun in the last decade of last century, when the possibility of building formative processes starting from the patrimony and directed to support the (re)construction of the Colombian nation reflection began. The formation-education of the Colombians starting from architectural heritage is erected as a traverse axis of tools inside an open and flexible vision of the curricula for the profession of the architecture. La experiencia de más de veinte años de docencia en arquitectura y de más de 15 años en procesos de concientización, investigación y formación informal a favor del patrimonio, enmarcan esta propuesta de articular la arquitectura como disciplina y patrimonio, como su énfasis dentro de la estructura curricular. Este escrito se construyó como un paso más dentro de un camino que empezó en la última década del siglo pasado, cuando se inició la reflexión sobre la posibilidad de construir procesos formativos a partir del patrimonio y dirigidos a apoyar la (re)construcción de la nación colombiana. La formación-educación de los colombianos, a partir del patrimonio, se erige como un eje transversal de herramientas dentro de una visión abierta y flexible de los currículos para la profesión de la arquitectura.
