This process is partially illustrated through a couple of research projects carried out in Bogotá and in four studies of its adjacent provinces; in which is present the loss of good modern buildings and – what is worse – the loss of the modern tradition. En este artículo se propone acentuar la reflexión sobre los valores de la arquitectura del movimiento moderno en Colombia, para, desde la raíz, detener la alteración y destrucción de la herencia edilicia de gran parte del siglo pasado. Mediante dos investigaciones realizadas en Bogotá y en cuatro departamentos circunvecinos, se ilustró, en parte, la dimensión de la pérdida de las obras y, más grave aún, de la tradición moderna.
