The internship or business practice of the undergraduate students during the mentioned period, constituted the object of the study which was done in the schools of Industrial Design of the Universities: This analysis in retrospective has identified the opportunities and mutual contributions of both parts: University and Industry thanks to the rapprochement between the two of them. Este trabajo es producto de una investigación documental realizada por la autora entre los años 2012 y 2013, cuyo objetivo fué establecer las intervenciones del diseño industrial en el sector productivo del país mediante la práctica de estudiantes, en instancias de trabajo de grado en la modalidad de pasantía o práctica empresarial desarrollados en el lapso ya mencionado, en las Escuelas de Diseño Industrial de las Universidades Industrial de Santander y Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. Este análisis ha logrado identificar las oportunidades y aportes mutuos representados por el acercamiento universidad-empresa.
