| Zusammenfassung: | This paper aims to revisit a sector of the city of Buenos Aires that the urban history has worked extensively: the Avenida de Mayo. On this occasion, the issue is focusing on vertical projection, observing the underground and aerial dimensions of the avenue by studying projects that were designed for that urban space. This work also inquiries about the ideas of modernity that the avenue and the projetcs were linked. The sources for this paper were mostly located in the Honorable Cámara de Diputados de la Nación Archive, moreover were incorporated hemerographic sources and other official documents. This article also proposed to revalue the idea of the project as an object that allows understanding different ways of thinking and materialization of the city along the time. |
