Shrnutí:The city of Cordoba, since the late nineties experienced a new phase of urban expansion, which brings about a territorial reconfiguration of the periphery in both modes of land use and occupation thereof intensities. In the southern area of the city, an increase of residential land use that unfolds on a traditionally occupied by agricultural and industrial productive activities sector and to a lesser extent neighborhoods corresponding to loteos made during the period of industrialization recorded the fifties. In a context of urban expansion, this paper seeks to approach the understanding of territorial conflicts in the southern part of the city of Cordoba, as historical processes of continuities and ruptures; understanding the territorial conflict as a process of struggle that takes state public, between social agents vying for existing material and symbolic resources. The conflict emerges when collective social actors initiate a process of sustained fighting in a territorial imaginary desired from undesired territorial reality
