Summary: | Rosario, Argentina, is at a turning point regarding its process of metropolization, so significant transformations of its architectures are taking place. Nevertheless, many vestiges of the past need to be studied if we want to maintain their identity. This text reflects on the particularities of some “small and large-scale housing complexes" of the twentieth century. They differ by not only the number of units, typologies, languages used and materials used but by the type of public spaces they have been able to generate. Complex places in which identities, cultural practices and binding relationships are expressed. Where the architectural forms that define them promote or prevent, as the case may be, the proper functioning of the same. |
