This text reflects on the particularities of some “small and large-scale housing complexes" of the twentieth century. They differ by not only the number of units, typologies, languages used and materials used but by the type of public spaces they have been able to generate. Complex places in which identities, cultural practices and binding relationships are expressed. Where the architectural forms that define them promote or prevent, as the case may be, the proper functioning of the same. Rosario, Argentina, se halla en un punto de inflexión respecto a su proceso de metropolización, por ello se está produciendo significativas transformaciones de sus arquitecturas. No obstante, permanecen en numerosos vestigios del pasado, que necesitan ser estudiados si queremos mantener su identidad. Este texto reflexiona sobre las particularidades de algunos “conjuntos de viviendas de pequeña y gran escala” del siglo XX. Los mismos se diferencian entre sí no solo por la cantidad de unidades, tipologías, lenguajes empleados y materiales empleados sino por el tipo de espacios públicos que han podido generar. Lugares complejos, en los que se expresan las identidades, las prácticas culturales y las relaciones vinculares.
