We'll discuss the articulation between the social and political context, and architectural state response. Here the theoretical approach to work raises an analysis on the basis of the inquiry official documentation, oral testimony, etc., in order to know its history and current situation plans. Este trabajo se inserta en el marco de una de investigación relacionada a políticas, proyectos y arquitectura de la Década Peronista, denominado “Políticas, Proyectos y Arquitectura de la Década Peronista, en la Ciudad de Mar del Plata 1946-1955.” La hipótesis gira en torno al lenguaje estético generado por villas que se construyeron a principios de 1900 cuyo modelo fue el de las mansiones europeas, adoptado primero como chalet pintoresquista por la clase media comerciante y luego por conjuntos de viviendas obreras que toman de ellos elementos singulares para generar a través de la imagen del “chalet” una idea de ascenso social. Analizaremos la articulación que existe entre el contexto sociopolítico, y la respuesta estatal arquitectónica que se implementó. En este sentido, el enfoque teórico del trabajo plantea un análisis partiendo de la indagación de documentación oficial, testimonios orales, etc., a fin de conocer su historia y situación actual.
