Summary: | The user's impact on the energy consumption of an urban dwelling is presented as an important variable to be taken into account in the search for energy efficiency. Therefore, this paper analyzes this incidence in two identical houses (“twin houses”) located in the city of San Miguel de Tucumán – Argentina, with the aim of demonstrating through a simple methodology, the energy consumption variations that a user can generate in the operation stage of a house. For this, in a first moment, the housing analysis is carried out: IRAM normative package, energy labeling and indoor-outdoor temperature measurements in summer and winter. In a second moment, the four users (two per home) are analyzed, through the application of the model and methodology of the “User Efficiency Level” indicator (NEU) and historical consumption of natural gas and electricity. The conclusions of the work are related to the low thermal performance of the “twin houses” (energy labeling “G”) and to a difference of 12% in the NEU resulting from the users, which represent a difference of 36.3% in electricity consumption and 63.9% in gas consumption. |
