For this, it analyzes what happened with the Casinos between the 1950s and 1970s. We believe that these years belong to the brightest period of the national casinos, essential in the configuration of tourist destinations, both for those that were already consolidated, as well as for the ones that on those years aspired to become an option. This situation became especially visible in the Mar del Plata Central Casino, which on summer nights hosted up to twenty-five thousand people.However, in the second half of the ‘60s, under the dictatorship commanded by J.C. Onganía, a series of adjustment policies were implemented around the “Lotería de Beneficencia Nacional y Casinos”. The arrival of a different time can be noticed, shaped by the end of the “golden years” of the casinos in the Argentina. ark:/s22508112/1nyrkkx2p El siguiente trabajo continúa las líneas de investigación trazadas al abordar los procesos de estatización de las salas de juego en la Argentina (provincialización en la década de 1930, nacionalización en los 40). Para ello analiza lo sucedido con los Casinos entre las décadas de 1950 y 1970. Se considera que estos años marcaron el período de máximo esplendor de los casinos nacionales, claves en la configuración de los destinos turísticos, tanto en los ya consolidados como en los que por estos años aspiraban a convertirse en una opción. Esta situación se hizo especialmente visible en el Casino Central de Mar del Plata, que en las noches de verano llegó a albergar cifras cercanas a los veinticinco mil concurrentes. Sin embargo, también se advierte que, en la segunda mitad de la década del 60, bajo la dictadura comandada por J.C. Onganía y en consonancia con lo que sucedía en un plano general, se implementaron una serie de políticas de ajuste en torno a la Lotería de Beneficencia Nacional y Casinos.
