The car, best icon and essential part of fordist economy, meant much more for contemporary culture than simple way of transportation. Through this notion we can understand the highly automobilist pattern of urbanization which emerges with the expansion of fordism in postwar years, and its influence over the architectural field. This paper searches these questions studying a few designs from the sixties, by the Archigram Group, in which the mobile home is the central theme. Remaking the relationship between this work and an enlarged frame, including design, literature, popular culture, we hope to find new readings for Archigram's work and for the sixties. Durante los años sesenta, nomadismo y movilidad llegaron a ser palabras cargadas de significados específicos, que apuntaban transformaciones en la esfera privada y en el ámbito doméstico. El coche, icono máximo y pieza fundamental en la economía fordista, significó bastante más para la cultura contemporánea que simple medio de transporte. Es por esta perspectiva que se puede comprender todo el patrón automovilístico de urbanización que emergió con la expansión del fordismo en la posguerra, y su influencia sobre los territorios de la arquitectura. El texto que sigue busca examinar esta cuestión a través de proyectos realizados por el grupo Archigram en los sesenta, en que el tema de la vivienda móvil es central. Estableciendo correspondencias y recomponiendo las relaciones entre esta producción y un cuadro cultural ampliado, envolviendo el campo del design, de la literatura y del comportamiento, se espera encontrar nuevas claves de lectura, tanto para estas obras, cuanto para la comprensión del período en que se inscriben. Durante los años sesenta, nomadismo y movilidad llegaron a ser palabras cargadas de significados específicos, que apuntaban transformaciones en la esfera privada y en el ámbito doméstico.
