總結:The purpose of this article is to reflect on the emergence and subsequent disappearance of the Decorative Composition subject in the study plan of the architecture degree at the University of Buenos Aires. For this we will take into consideration, on the one hand, that said subject was introduced into the curriculum when the School of Architecture was created in 1901, thereby seeking to replace the polytechnic orientation of teaching with the Beaux Arts model, and on the other, to recognize that the Elimination of the subject was concomitant with the modernization process of the training of architects. We will affirm, then, that this absence did not imply the failure or rupture with certain elements of the academic tradition, but on the contrary, it meant a slippage between the Beaux Arts system and the modern way of projecting, supported by both systems, in the same positivist paradigm.   https://id.caicyt.gov.ar/ark:/s22508112/x2y8awqku
