Many consider it as a temporary practice, even outmoded today, while others do not even recognize it as a form of architecture. However, its current dissemination is undeniable, and it deserves a careful analysis.Through the study of three recent examples, and their comparison with three iconic works of Site Specific Art, this paper intends to invite the reader to address these architectures with a new gaze, and to elucidate the reasons why these objects alien to any site, can constitute architectural proposals capable of establishing a true communion with the landscape. A lo largo de las últimas décadas, el fenómeno de la arquitectura de contenedores ha generado constantes y controvertidos debates. Muchos lo consideran como una práctica temporal, incluso pasada de moda, mientras que otros ni siquiera lo conocen como una forma de arquitectura. No obstante, su difusión actual es incontestable y merece un análisis detenido. A través del estudio de tres ejemplos recientes de lo anterior, y su comparación con tres obras icónicas de Site Specific Art, se busca abordar estas arquitecturas con una nueva mirada, y tratar de elucidar por qué motivos estos objetos ajenos a cualquier lugar pueden a llegar a conformar propuestas arquitectónicas capaces de alcanzar una verdadera comunión con el paisaje.
