Shrnutí:This paper will analyze a series of letters between the exiled German architect, Max Cetto and important personalities in architecture of the twentieth century, among them: Siegfried Giedion, Walter Gropius, Josep Lluís Sert. These documents offer a polemic look of Mexicanarchitecture during the first half of the previous century and illustrate the failed and unexplored relation between Mexico and the ciam (Congrès Internacional d’Architecture Moderne), so far.
