Their impact was primarily reflected in the quick transformation of modern housing and the emergence of new architectural genres. All this could be seen in Mexican newspapers. La modificación del rol femenino dentro de la sociedad fue determinante durante los inicios del siglo XX. Las mujeres y su relación con la ciudad, su presencia en territorios más allá de las paredes del hogar, junto con la adopción de los avances tecnológicos, hicieron que ellas fueran promotoras activas de las ideas de la modernidad. El impacto se vio reflejado principalmente en la rápida transformación de la vivienda moderna y la aparición de nuevos géneros arquitectónicos. Todo ello se vio expresado en la prensa mexicana.
