El presente documento pretende realizar el análisis y un cálculo técnico para verificar las condiciones de aislación térmica de una vivienda elegida al azar, ubicada en la parroquia rural de Sayausi, en el sector de Gallo Cantana, de la ciudad de Cuenca, en Ecuador, a 2800 msnm, y verificar el cumplimiento de la reglamentación térmica que establece la norma ecuatoriana de la construcción NEC-11 en función del clima y el microclima de la localidad.Se realizará un análisis de la aislación térmica, protección solar, ventilación e iluminación natural, para luego verificar su cumplimiento normativo y proponer para cada instancia soluciones para mejorarlas.Palabras clave: Vivienda, medio ambiente, rural, Cuenca, Ecuador.
