Sumari:The industrialization of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon at the end of the nineteenth century caused an unprecedent urban and demographic expansion in the state. Many of the migrants who came to the city were from San Luis Potosi and settled south of the Rio Santa Catarina. The majority of them became factory workers, construction workers and merchants, making Barrio de San Luisito an important reference point in Monterrey.
