This article reflects on the perception of dwelling in a space without the sense of sight, and on how to conduct participatory design processes for inclusive, progressive and self-produced dwellings for the blind. La arquitectura ha privilegiado el sentido de la vista en los últimos tiempos para ser apreciada. Derivado de esto, los sistemas constructivos han perdido su honestidad material original, siendo reemplazada por aproximaciones más escenográficas. Este artículo reflexiona en torno a la percepción del habitar cuando no se cuenta con el sentido de la vista y cómo se puede realizar el diseño participativo de una vivienda incluyente, progresiva y autoproducida, cuando ésta es para una persona invidente.
