The work of Michan Architecture, however, incorporates these two seemingly opposed perspectives into contemporary Mexican architecture, demonstrating that these media could serve as intensifiers of said traditions. Desde que los medios digitales fueron introducidos en la arquitectura, en los noventa, se les han asignado cualidades como la virtualidad y la inmaterialidad. Esto ha causado cierto rechazo por parte de los arquitectos formados en lugares con fuertes tradiciones materiales y artesanales, como México hasta ahora. Sin embargo, el trabajo de Michan Arquitectura incorpora estas dos perspectivas –aparentemente opuestas– a la arquitectura mexicana contemporánea y demuestra que dichos medios pueden servir como intensificadores de las tradiciones.
