总结:In 1972, CAYC (Center for Arte and Communication, Buenos Aires, 1968) opened its exhibition “Hacia un perfil del arte latinoamericano”. The show, organized by the cultural promoter Jorge Glusberg, included 143 pieces by 36 artists from Argentina, Latin America, The United Stated, and Europe. The exhibition, which traveled around different art spaces in the world, attempted to explore, trough heliographic pieces, a conceptualization of “Latin American” under the lens of the regional conflicts amplified by the political struggles in those years. In this article, I will present how this exhibition, despite been sent to Santiago to be exhib- ited in the National Museum of Fine Arts in 1973, was left forgotten for over 45 years in the museum’s storage due to the coup d’Etat. Today, thanks to the studies of documents, archives and diverse collections, it has been possible to reconstruct this history and study in depth through the analysis of three emblematic artworks.
