La comprensión de las relaciones y los vínculos entre los conceptos arquitectura y territorio desde la aproximación disciplinar de la arquitectura, aporta al debate académico sobre la noción de territorio en la praxis y a reducir la brecha conceptual en la producción académica y profesional. La delineación preliminar de los ejes vinculantes es resultado de la indagación en diversas publicaciones de autores especializados, así como de la validación conceptual mediante la entrevista en el campo profesional y el sondeo en el campo académico. La discusión considera la autonomía disciplinar y conceptual, la complejidad de las interacciones dentro de un esquema articulado por el proyecto y la noción de lugar a partir del objeto, y la actuación bajo principios rectores de la praxis y la transversalidad del hábitat y el paisaje.
