To conduct the study about women's history, we considered the first civilizations, formed from the development of cities to the contemporary city, promoting a reflection on how the universalization of the city's population affects women's and socially excluded groups' lives, and the challenges to be overcome to build more inclusive cities. El presente artículo buscar comprender el desarrollo de la vida de las mujeres, su condición en la esfera pública y privada y cómo esto se evidencia en el espacio urbano. También pretende entender la forma en que los avances logrados por las féminas a lo largo de la historia influyen en las ciudades de hoy. Para ello se vuelve la mirada a las primeras civilizaciones constituidas a partir del surgimiento de las ciudades hasta llegar a las contemporáneas para ver cómo la generalización de los usos y prácticas afecta la vida de las mujeres y a otros grupos excluidos socialmente, lo cual señala grandes desafíos a la hora de construir ciudades más inclusivas. Busca-se entender o desenvolvimento da vida das mulheres, a condição delas em sua esfera pública e privada, de que forma esses acontecimentos intervieram no espaço urbano e como os avanços conquistados pelas mulheres ao longo dessa trajetória influenciam as cidades atuais. Para realizar o estudo sobre a história da mulher, considera-se o recorte a partir das primeiras civilizações, constituídas a partir do surgimento das cidades e até a cidade contemporânea, buscando uma reflexão sobre como a universalização dos usuários da cidade afeta a vida das mulheres e de grupos socialmente excluídos, e os desafios a serem enfrentados para construir cidades mais inclusivas.
