This particular conjunction has brought along an urban form that, in opposition to what it looks for, seems more like the outcome of chaos and confusion than the product of any urban intention. Este es un artículo de reflexión acerca de la imagen de Bogotá y de cómo ésta, a pesar de haber mejorado gracias a las múltiples intervenciones arquitectónicas y urbanas que se han llevado a cabo durante los últimos veinte años para adaptarla a los cambios generados por su vertiginoso crecimiento, no ha logrado consolidarse como totalidad, debido primordialmente a la exaltación de una estética del fragmento promulgada por los teóricos y a una continua tergiversación de las normas de planificación urbana en busca de lucro individual por parte de los constructores. Esta particular conjunción trae como consecuencia una forma urbana que, contrario a lo que se pretende, parece más fruto del desorden y del caos que de alguna intención urbanística.
