| Περίληψη: | Colombian architectural criticism begins and ends with a dilemma: our identity. However –and despite the effort– it remains as an unsolvable problem, since identity has provento be a concept impossible to undertake from the point of view of the discipline. The following article is a meditation on how «the poetics of place» has only worked as an ideological construction aimed to justify our modern architecture, and how our contemporary architecture, paradoxically, in the process of finding an identity to frame its new proposalswithin a coherent theoretical structure, has not found a different approach to conceptualize its formal production and has ended up using, as its antecessors did, the external reference as its most common strategy. |
