Then, it analyzes thoroughly social and real-property management during infrastructure construction for each of their new public transportation systems (SITM, in Spanish), emphasizing on their objectives, budgets, strategies, methodologies, data-analysis approaches, object groups involved, real state purchase and development stages. Finally, it revises project results and its indicators to conclude that the new paradigm for infrastructure construction is the environmental and social multidisciplinary intervention where works are taking place, since it allows for more comprehensive readings and more suitable answers to communities’ technical, juridical and social true-facts during real-property acquisition and social management overall El artículo presenta en la introducción un panorama del crecimiento demográfico en las ciudades colombianas y el estado de los sistemas de trasporte público en cinco de ellas: Cartagena, Bucaramanga, Barranquilla, Medellín y Pereira. A continuación analiza detalladamente el proyecto de Gestión social y Predial en  la construcción de infraestructura para la implementación de Sistemas Integrados de Transporte Masivo SITM, en las mismas ciudades, haciendo énfasis en sus objetivos, presupuestos, estrategias, metodologías, enfoques de análisis, actores involucrados, compra de predios y etapas de desarrollo. Revisa los resultados del proyecto y sus indicadores, y con base en los resultados, plantea en las conclusiones que, el nuevo paradigma de las obras de infraestructura es la intervención interdisciplinaria respecto del entorno social y ambiental en que se insertan las obras, puesto que, durante la adquisición predial y la gestión social en general, permite lecturas integrales y respuestas más acordes con las realidades técnicas, jurídicas y sociales de la comunidad.
