Se elaboró una propuesta de clasificación jerárquica de corredores para la Estructura Ecológica Principal de Bogotá –EEP-, tomando como criterios de clasificación la conectividad estructural de los componentes del sistema de áreas protegidas del Distrito capital, matriz de paisaje, eje central del conector, la presencia/ausencia de áreas con potencial o actual producción de servicios ambientales de soporte y funciones de control de la expansión urbana o usos urbanos sobre elementos de la EEP.
