It describes the appearance, evolution, and actual condition of the city’s urban parks that nowadays shape Bogota’s Main Ecological Structure, focusing primarily on native and migratory birds that currently frequent them, and on some of the species of trees and bushes thatnow feed them. El artículo presenta una aproximación a la evolución histórica de los parques de Bogotá, basado en el análisis del desarrollo urbano de la ciudad, desde su fundación, hasta el siglo XXI. Se describe la aparición, la evolución y la situación actual de los parques de la ciudad, que hoy en día forman parte de la Estructura Ecológica Principal de Bogotá; haciendo énfasis en las aves nativas y migratorias que actualmente los frecuentan, y en algunas de las especies de arbustos y árboles que las alimentan.
