For the construction of this office, a wood-framed structure was used with a view to reducing the carbon footprint during the construction process. A study showed that this building has 7.45 tonnes of carbon stored in its wood-based materials. In addition, the Green Office has a wide variety of sustainable solutions. As a result of the performance of these solutions, it was found that: rain water captured in the office supplies up to 88% of the average daily water demand for one person; the degree of acoustic insulation in the office is 28 dB; and its indoor temperature can be 4.2 ºC higher than the outside temperature during the winter in Curitiba. On the other hand, the photovoltaic system connected to the power grid generated 4,722 kWh during its first 2 years in operation. The interaction between these elements has captured the attention of students, businesspeople and public officials, and has inspired them to carry out interdisciplinary projects related to sustainability and energy efficiency both on the Curitiba campus as well as in the city. El principal objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar el desempeño de las tecnologías implementadas en la Oficina verde, así como su impacto en el sector académico, privado y público. Para la construcción de esta oficina fue utilizada una estructura wood-framing, con miras a reducir la huella de carbono durante el proceso de construcción. Un estudio mostró que esta construcción tiene almacenadas 7,45 toneladas de carbono en sus materiales de origen leñoso. Además, la Oficina verde cuenta con una gran variedad de soluciones sostenibles. Como resultado del desempeño de estas soluciones, se obtuvo que: el agua de lluvia captada en la oficina suple hasta 88% de la demanda media diaria de agua de una persona; el grado de aislamiento acústico de la oficina es de 28 dB, y su temperatura interna puede llegar a ser 4,2ºC mayor que la temperatura externa durante el invierno de Curitiba. Por otra parte, el sistema solar fotovoltaico conectado a la red generó durante sus primeros 2 años 4722kWh. La interacción existente entre estos elementos ha llamado la atención de alumnos, empresarios y funcionarios públicos, y los ha inspirado a realizar proyectos interdisciplinares relacionados con sostenibilidad y eficiencia energética tanto en el campus Curitiba como en la ciudad.
