The cases here reviewed show the adaptation of a foreign model to a local context and its national interpretation, as well as its modification to offer a kind of spatial social vindication of the 1910 revolutionary movement. El ensayo expone la influencia del concepto urbanístico Ciudad Jardín en el contexto mexicano, en las primeras décadas del Siglo XX y su aplicación en nuevos desarrollos habitacionales en distintas ciudades e incluso áreas rurales, asociándolo a un discurso político de progreso económico, de vanguardia urbana y arquitectónica y promotor de la equidad social. Muestra la adaptación de un modelo extranjero a un contexto local y su interpretación nacional, así como su modificación para incluirlo como una forma espacial de reivindicación social producto del movimiento revolucionario de 1910.
