Description
Summary:The essay intents to relate the changes in the home and modifications to home appliances that are used in everyday life. Examples are given of architectural projects that try to speculate on future scenarios, where the home has evolved around a so called disposable technology, which changes living styles. These, and other projects are looked at in an attempt to establish that if there has been no formal change in the living styles, and if those attempts described failed, then electrical household appliances have managed to modify certain aspects of living styles and, as a result, have led to changes in the home. As early conclusion is been set that formally the house did not modify its form but still certain issues of the household are deeply transformed by the domestic appliances.
