Nevertheless, this specific use of the ideas, by the contemporary architectonic thought and its time frame, bare an inevitable deactivation of the core of the “situationist” struggle: the criticism and emancipation of everyday life. Tanto la pertinencia como las condiciones de recepción de las tesis situacionistas que la institución arquitectónica ha impuesto para su recuperación contemporánea, están ineludiblemente marcadas por el tono histórico de la posmodernidad y su particular modo de relacionarse con el pasado.Signo de aquella forma de relación es el “carácter” del entusiasmo que la Internacional Situacionista ha despertado en la escena académica de la arquitectura, al convertirse en referente operativo para diversos experimentalismos afanados, en su gran mayoría, en el desmontaje categorial de los recursos representacionales heredados del Movimiento Moderno. No obstante, este preciso uso de algunas de sus tesis por parte del pensamiento arquitectónico contemporáneo y el carácter epocal que lo enmarca, conllevan inevitablemente a la desactivación del núcleo de la demanda situacionista: la crítica y emancipación de la vida cotidiana.
