To try and understand Brasilia from an urbanistic point of view is a more complex task. The emphatic myths entailed in the modernity of the urbanistic discourse on this city, nearly four decades after its founding sound like rgetoric looking for an autor. The glittering, splendid terms in wich, during the first half of the 20th century the discourse about conferring a new "urbis" form on the city was phased are partially responsible. Manhattan Transfer es la novela que traduce desde una perspectiva callejera las vicisitudes que padece el anónimo provinciano que llega atraído por los brillos y fastos a la gran ciudad. Intentar la comprensión de Brasilia, desde una perspectiva urbanística, es una tarea un poco más complicada. Los mitos enfáticos que comporta la modernidad del discurso urbanístico de esta ciudad capital, después de cerca de cuatro décadas de su fundación, nos saben a retóricas en busca de autor. Los brillos y fastos que durante gran parte de la primera mitad del siglo XX, envolvieron este discurso para conferirle una nueva forma urbis a la ciudad, tienen buena parte de responsabilidad en ello.
