This text is part of the tribute the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Chile made in the month of June 2014 to commemorate a year of his death. Castillo was one of the few Chilean architects capable of steadily arousing interest on his work (largely conducted within the studio of architects Valdés, Castillo and Huidobro and Bresciani), in addition to making it transcend beyond the realm of architecture.
