| Tóm tắt: | This paper deals with a referential analysis of three neighborhoods in Santiago , Chile , located in the civic center and which have been labelled as “urban heritage” by the Consejo de Monumentos Nacionales (National Heritage Council) . The analysis is not comparative but referential since no qualification or hierarchy is intended but the aim is to find out their attributes according to the five premises stated by the architect, planner and teacher of the course “Architecture and the culture of preserving. Theory and practice of the intervention of historical places”, Mr. Francisco de Gracia, given at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, University of Chile, April 2004, as part of the FAU-UPM Doctor degree program. The paper reveals the historical circumstances that originated them and the characteristics of each neighborhood, as regards space, built volumes and preservation of public and privately own properties. It finishes by acknowledging the attributes of each and every one of their valuable characteristics. |
