The richness accumulated throughout history manifested in the great concentration of sites and buildings has signified the international recognition of Heritage to Humanity. The Historic Centre is a reflection of all the social, economic, cultural heterogeneity representing one of the largest metropolises in the world. It is a space full of contrasts, where the city government has taken on an urban planning process for the regeneration of the integral functions for which it has been representative throughout history La Ciudad de México tiene un centro cuyo origen se remonta a la ciudad azteca fundada hace siete siglos y los conquistadores españoles refundaron la ciudad conservando la esencia del principio ordenador prehispánico, la riqueza acumulada a lo largo de la historia se manifiesta en la gran concentración de sitios y edificios que le han significado el reconocimiento internacional de Patrimonio de la Humanidad. El Centro Histórico es un reflejo de toda la heterogeneidad social, económica y cultural que representa una de las más grandes metrópolis del mundo, es un espacio urbano lleno de contrastes en donde el gobierno de la ciudad ha emprendido un proceso de planificación urbana para la regeneración integral de las funciones que le han sido representativas a lo largo de la historia.
