| 总结: | This paper analyzes the implementation of mass produced dwellings in Chile from the Ibáñez to Pinochet administrations. This contribution also describes the collapse of the global regionalization concept during the mid-1970s, which was when the cost variable prevailed over the design variable. Finally, the author stresses the need to redefine the mass production of dwellings by placing dwellers and their geographic location as central elements in such a process. In this way, the quality of life and regionalized housing concepts would help in understanding the transformations undergone by social housing. |
