El artículo hace ver la forma limitada en que se entiende habitualmente el concepto de calidad de la vivienda, al referirse casi exclusivamente a la unidad y a sus aspectos físicos; propone a cambio una concepción de calidad integral en cuanto a un conjunto numeroso y variado de atributos íntimamente relacionados con la calidad de vida y las necesidades humanas. Concluye brevemente sobre las variables que deben ser tomadas en cuenta para crear los incentivos en el logro de una mejor calidad en la vivienda social.
