From our point of view, the university formation of new professionals must deal with the demands of the new role, the historical thinking, the awareness of the value of symbols, the respect for the environment as well as the development of the awareness and thinking about a society which social differences become greater and which demands prompt solutions for a large past of the population. The paper includes a fundamentation of the courses objectives, its contents and the learning practices. Se pretende compartir la experiencia del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje con los miembros de la RED. Desde nuestra concepción , la formación universitaria de los profesionales ha debido conjugar las exigencias del nuevo rol, la reflexión histórica, la conciencia del valor de los símbolos, el respeto por el entorno y la toma de conciencia y reflexión acerca de una sociedad que agudiza sus diferencias y exige respuestas urgentes para amplios sectores de la población. El artículo incluye fundamentación de los objetivos de la asignatura, los contenidos impartidos y las prácticas de aprendizaje.
