| Tóm tắt: | Architectural project and design criteria for the dwellings of "Nueva Democracia", a project of 1.000 dwellings in 25 hectares, in which the Community, the State Government and the University work together to solve a housing problem are explained. This project, now under construction promotes social organization of the communities at three levels: the global urban level, the intermediate or neighborhood level, and the dwelling level. At all levels the project has been designed so that it can be habitable with the smallest possible investment by the government and the people, permitting the distribution of government funds to more families and widening the scope of potential clients to lower income families. All urban spaces and some services can be developed and evolve with community participation. Houses are designed to grow from 30 square meter houses with multipurpose spaces, up to two floor 140 square meter dwellings, according to the possibilities and necessities of the families. |
