Samenvatting: | A more adequate way in the search for solutions to the floods we repeatedly experience, means first to have the political, technical and social commitments working in co-ordination in order to achieve radical changes. It is necessary to move from a sectorial analysis of the surface waters in the urban environment which usually specifies the solution in terms of the need of carrying water from one point to the other, to a more integral analysis of the problem It should be part of a coherent co-ordination of the geographical characteristic of the environment to be urbanized, the needs, the values and resources of the inhabitants and the characteristics of the urbanization and its forms. |
