| Summary: | This paper refers to a preliminary analysis of some factors that play a role in the architectural development of rural housing groups called "Villorrios Rurales" (rural villages) and their houses. The data source is a 2 year interdisciplinary research carried out in Chile´s VII Region. This is an area where the agro-exporting business has a strong presence and the rural inhabitants are influenced by this fact. Some factors have risen which could be influencing the architectural expression of these settlements. The question is whether the quality of its results satisfies inhabitants as well as planners. |
