| Sumario: | In Peru, the need to improve housing quality, the so called qualitative deficit, is a substantial problem to housing and it affects 74 per cent of the population. That means that in most cases the houses do already exist but their inhabiting conditions are inadequate. This paper analyses to what extent housing policies face this problem. It is interesting to know the current programs and projects, their characteristics and financial conditions among other factors, as well as the housing, services and equipment strategies. Private alternatives and their feasibility to face this problem are also analysed. |
