Experiencia con 54 familias dispersas de villa El Libertador Maffrand, Graciela Martínez, Mónica Since 1995 experiences have been carried out concerning the participation in the design and habitat materialising for low resource people. Through successive research projects granted by the Secretaría de Extención Universitaria (1995) and the Consejo de Investigaciones Científicas y Tecnológicas from the Cordoba Province (Martínez Rusconi 1996- 1999) and as part of the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba, Facultad de Arquitectura, Urbanismo y Diseño, a large experience has been achieved in the local area, enabling us to come closer to the community, the true protagonist of this participatory exercise. One of the experiences was carried out with a group of disperse inhabitants –54 families from Villa El Libertador-. Their participation as a managing mechanism has enabled the development of actions approaching the housing problem of this group of people, such as the selection and purchase of urban land and the elaboration and management of a housing project. This project achieved a third place in the contest “Participation in planning and designing of the popular habitat (CYTED 1998) thus backing up the experiences, methods and thoughts present in this research line. Desde 1995, se viene incursionando sobre la temática de la participación en el diseño y materialización del hábitat para población de escasos recursos. A través de sucesivos proyectos de investigación otorgados por la Secretaría de Extensión Universitaria (1995) y el Consejo de Investigaciones Científicas y Tecnológicas de la provincia de Córdoba (Martínez Rusconi 1996-1999), y en el marco de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Facultad de Arquitectura, Urbanismo y Diseño, se ha consolidado una basta experiencia en el medio local, acercándonos a la comunidad, verdadero protagonista del ejercicio participativo. Una de las experiencias desarrolladas se lleva a cabo con un grupo de población dispersa –54 familias- de Villa El Libertador. La participación como mecanismo de gestión ha permitido el desarrollo de acciones tendientes a abordar la problemática habitacional de este grupo humano, como son la selección y compra de tierra urbana, y la elaboración y gestión del proyecto de vivienda. La obtención de tercera mención, dentro del concurso “La participación en el planeamiento y diseño del hábitat popular” (Cyted 1998), avala las experiencias, métodos y reflexiones abordados dentro de esta línea investigativa.
