The research had a series of objectives which were reached as followed: The technological objective was to develop light constructive components with a good thermal insulation, and mechanical resistance to be used in housing side closing function. The ecological one was to collaborate in environmental decontamination. The economical was to lower costs of social housing construction creating cheaper housing construction materials. The social one was to provide self – constructors with the know how to make construction materials. The fi eld objective to develop a constructive technology easier to use by women due to the lightness of the material Recycled plastics materials Aare used as raw material, promoting the rational use of the available resources instead of end as Atrash buried or burnt in garbage dumps, using non contaminating elaboration procedures; therefore it is a sustainable technology. Esta publicación trata sobre una investigación llevada a cabo en el CEVE relativa a la fabricación de elementos constructivos utilizando materiales plásticos reciclados. La investigación ha logrado los siguientes objetivos: Tecnológico: desarrollar componentes de construcción livianos, de buena aislación térmica, y resistencia mecánica sufi ciente para cumplir la función de cerramiento lateral de viviendas. Ecológico: colaborar en la descontaminación del medio ambiente. Económico: abaratar costos en la producción de elementos constructivos para la vivienda de interés social. Social: poner en manos de auto-constructores la elaboración de los componentes constructivos. De género: desarrollar una tecnología constructiva apta para mujeres, por la liviandad de los componentes. Se utilizan como materia prima materiales reciclados plásticos, promoviendo el uso racional de recursos disponibles en lugar de enterrarlos, quemarlos o acumularlos en basureros al aire libre; aplicando procedimientos de elaboración que no son contaminantes del medio ambiente, por lo cual es una tecnología sustentable.
